RE: Sport Klub Windhoek - Usage of Sports grounds

The SKW Premises and sport facilities are for the use of authorized persons and members only. It has come to our attention that more and more people are making use of the facilities without being members.

Very important to note: If your child, brother, sister, cousin, or friend is a member at the club, this membership is not extended to other family members. Only members are authorized to exercise, walk, do sports and be active on any of the facilities of the sports club. The only division where a guest fee may be paid to use facilities is our Tennis division. Please arrange with a member of the Tennis division to pay a guest fee before making use of the tennis courts. The SKW management reserves the right to request that the receipts be presented by non-members to use the courts.

Should you as a parent, where your child is an active member, want to exercise or spend active time on the premises you please need to become a member. For this purpose, the SKW has a family membership option available and we urge everyone to become members. We need more members and financial support to maintain and uphold the facilities. The club overheads are very high and difficult to cover with the low number of paid-up members and with no functions currently being held due to Covid-19 restrictions.

Attached is a list of membership options and a membership application form.

Membership runs for a calendar year and will be calculated on a pro-rata basis for first time members.

Membership checks will be done by dedicated members, so please adhere to the rules of the club. Own food and drinks (except water for sports) is not allowed on the premises. The beer garden and restaurant is open to the general public without membership and is currently open for take-away only.
